  • CAVI Comments: + Florence 11 B 44 + Villa Giulia (CVA, pl. Y,5-7). Done for Boston only. - The kappa was repainted when I saw the vase. - This vase is later than Makron (Robertson). The writing delegated to the Telephos Painter (Cohen); cf. Boston 98.931. CB gives a history of the collections. CB dr. has an excellent picture of the signature. The signature has tailed rho and four-stroke sigma, whereas the kalos has the three-stroke; letters are disjointed.
