  • CAVI Inscriptions: A: Over Aeneas' head: Αινεας, retr. To left of Neoptolemos' face: Nε[ο]πτολεμος, retr. Above a fallen warrior: N[..]ιριος, retr.{2}. To left of Ajax' face (he carries the body of Achilles): Αιας, retr. Above the two: Αχιλ[λ]εο(ς). Over Menelaus' helmet: Μενελεος. Above Paris' helmet: Παρις, retr. An archer at right may be inscribed{3}. B: Under Chiron's horse-belly: Πατροκ(λ)ια{4}. To right and above his head: Χιρον. To left of Peleus' legs: Πελε[υ]ς, retr. To right of Thetis' elbow: Θετις. • CAVI Footnotes: {1} close to Leagros Group, CVA, but not in Beazley. {2} CVA gives N.ιοιος, but the omicron looks more like like a D-shaped rho. {3} I saw a stroke on his right. {4} I do not understand this word. There is no second Nereid.
  • CAVI Comments: The bracketed letters are miswritten. The list of inscriptions is not complete; there are some names so sloppily written that they resemble nonsense inscriptions.
  • CAVI Number: 5151
