CAVI Footnotes: {1} the third letter is written on Theseus' left arm.
CAVI Comments: The information on the inscriptions in CVA is defective. There is no female pictured: could the reference be to Ariadne (two of the inscriptions may be utterances)? Was the painter a semi-literate (see London E 301)? Alpha lacks the cross stroke. Sideways sigma.
