CAVI Comments: The Ext. has a youth wth a large sprig; hence Hartwig's `Meister mit der Ranke'. Some think that Jason went down the dragon's throat and cut out his tongue so that he could not swallow him. This version is not otherwise known. See AJA 87 (1983), pl. 55,3 and text. Alpha lacks the cross stroke.
