  • CAVI Lemma: Frs. of BF dinos. From Athens. Unattributed. First quarter sixth. 575-570 (Pease).
  • CAVI Subject: Funeral games for Pelias.
  • CAVI Inscriptions: λεβες, retr. Ιφιτος, retr. Μελανιον, retr. Ανφιαρεος. ΦΙΛΟNΒ[-]N, retr. Καπα̣[νευς], retr. Περιφα̣[ς], retr. Φοϙ[ος]. Αστεριον, retr. Ακ̣[αστος], retr. Δαμας, retr. Κελαα̣ς, retr.{1}.
  • CAVI Footnotes: {1} so Roebuck: his fr. joins Broneer's, who had read Κελαι[νος]. R. connects the name with that of the charioteer of Pelops, Killas or Killos [hence Κελ[λ]αας?], but the photo in Hesp. 9 seems to show an iota (in the break), rather than a second alpha: hence Κελ[λ]αις??
  • CAVI Comments: + Athens, N.M. 15,466 (from North Slope), added by Broneer + North Slope AP 906, published by Roebuck. Damas and Kelai[nos] were added by Broneer, the latter corrected to Kelaas by Roebuck. Kretschmer (1894), 69 reads Φιλονβ[ο]ν, perhaps a short form of Φιλομβροτος.
