West elevation of the Erechtheion.Porch of the Erechtheion.An Ionic temple of unusual plan dedicated to the Athenian king Erechtheus, combined with cults of Poseidon and Athena. It was built in the later 5th century BC on the north side of the Athens Acropolis, opposite the Parthenon. It includes the famous Caryatid porch.
